First time doing Hot Yoga?
It's normal to have some questions, maybe even some anxieties about what to expect and what you should do when you arrive at the studio.
We have answered some common questions to help ease those first time butterflies.
-
We believe everybody has a Yoga body. Age, size, shape and physical ability are no barrier to practicing Hot Yoga with us. Our teachers are encouraging and supportive and we are happy to chat with you to ease your mind especially, if you’re feeling a little nervous to begin with.
The change rooms are always buzzing with encouragement from our members too!
-
Most people start on our Intro offer - one month of unlimited Yoga for $49. This allows you to try all of our classes so you find the Yoga that resonates with you and find what fits into your schedule. We have amazing teachers and we know you’ll want to try all of their classes.
-
Wear your comfy clothes - anything that you can move and stretch in just make sure the clothing is light - we practice in a hot room!
Leave your shoes at reception, it's time to connect with the earth.
-
Bring your mat, a large towel to lay over your mat and water. If you forget any of these things we have you covered, with options to hire or buy at the studio. Bring compassion for yourself to your mat at each practice - every day is different.
-
Expect to feel challenged. There are a few things to get used to when you start to practice, the heat being the main one. Our teachers and yoga community are compassionate and patient and will look out for you. We all remember our first practice too.
-
We encourage you to stay in the hot room, if you need to rest you can sit or lie down on your mat. You can do this as long as you like, as many times as you like. The heat has amazing benefits all of its own.
-
We recommend through your intro month to try as many classes as you can. You will feel and see amazing benefits from practicing twice a week. The more you come to your mat the better you will feel!
-
There is plenty of street parking available. If you are coming to a daytime class please ensure you allow enough time to find a park and arrive for class on time.
-
Our classes range from 25 degrees to 40 degrees. The heat works into the largest organ of the body - the skin, to detoxify the body leaving you looking dewy and glowing. It takes a few classes to adjust to the heat, but once you notice how good you feel you will be seeking the heat out!
-
We have 2 showers you are welcome to use. We know showers are bliss - please keep them short so your fellow yogi’s can enjoy a rinse off too. Please bring your own towel.
