Welcome to Hot Yoga Invercargill

Bringing a selection of the most beneficial and popular styles of Yoga to the deep south of New Zealand! Whether you are an complete beginner or an experienced Yogi our teachers will support and guide you in these proven Yoga methods
EXPECT TO CHANGE !

Our Yoga room uses far-infrared radiant (FIR) heat. A completely safe form of naturally occurring energy that uses direct light conversion to heat the body directly, rather than the air around it. The heat softens the muscles of even the stiffest beginners, improves vascular performance, relieves chronic discomfort, assists detoxification, promotes weight loss and deepens sleep.

The studio has a reception and retail area offering all you need for classes to rent or purchase and a selection of Yoga apparel. You can bring along your own mat, towels and water or you can hire / purchase at the studio. Mats $2, Towels $3, water $3.50. We have separate Male and Female changing rooms along with shower and bathroom facilities.

If you would like to book a private class outside our normal schedule for a one on one session or a group function, please email us at info@hotyogainvercargill.com

Our schedule is subject to change,

CLASSES

01. Bikram

The original Hot Yoga! A beginners sequence of 26 postures & 2 breathing exercises. 90 minutes or 60 minute Express. Our core class, this is a powerfully transformative practice designed for everyone; any age, shape, condition or problem. Good for weight loss, back pain & injuries, stress/anxiety/depression and much more! This class is very challenging but requires no specific strength or flexibility to start. Temperature around 40° / 40% humidity.

You will need a Yoga mat, large towel (no hand towels) and water bottle (we rent or sell all 3). Make sure you come hydrated and wear very light clothing as you will get sweaty! Please arrive 20 minutes before class starts if it’s your first visit.

02. Hot Vinyasa

A diverse & flowing style of yoga where movement is co ordinated with the breath. A very cardiovascular practice that builds strength, flexibility and tones and shapes the body with sun salutations and an ever changing sequence of postures. Challenge your balance and ability to focus, concentrate and stay present for 90 minutes Moderate heat to ease muscles through their full range and maximise detoxifying benefits. Temperature around 32°

You will need a Yoga mat (rental mats available) and may wish to bring a towel and water. Wear light clothing that will allow you to move and bend! Please arrive 20 minutes before class starts if it’s your first visit.

03. Hot Hatha

A blend static and flowing postures, sometimes using props and sometimes not, This form of yoga focuses on simple poses that flow from one to the other at a very comfortable pace. It is a freestyle form of teaching that follows the students energies, seasons, and time of day. Great for improving stamina and posture and for reducing stress. Added heat to warm the body quickly, increasing mobility and metabolism. Temperature around 32°

You will need a Yoga mat (rental mats available) and may wish to bring a towel and water. Wear light clothing that will allow you to move and bend! Please arrive 20 minutes before class starts if it’s your first visit.

04. Yin

Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods of time, three to five minutes or longer per pose is typical. Working into the connective tissue around the joints, the emphasis is on releasing muscles rather than on contracting. Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load. If you gently stretch connective tissue by holding a yin pose for a long time, the body will respond by making them a little longer and stronger—which is exactly what you want, particularly if you lead an active lifestyle.. The practice often finishes with a guided meditation or Yoga Nidra to leave you feeling calm and centred.

You will need a Yoga Mat (rental mats available), props are provided. Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing, the room will be warm but not Hot.
